I am a certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis instructor. I teach a six week childbirth course in Nashville, TN.

Check out Nashville Birth & Babies for more information.

Hypnobabies is a complete childbirth education course that also teaches Gerald Kein’s famous Painless Childbirth techniques to Hypnobabies mothers so that they can enter hypnosis, deepen it themselves and remain mobile during labor, completely comfortable at all times. Most of our Hypno-babies have no drugs in their systems when they are born, and are able to nurse, breathe well and interact with their happy parents immediately.

Why did I decide to become a Hypnobabies instructor?

Liam’s birth was wonderful. I didn’t use Hypnobabies for this birth but some alternative hypnosis techniques along with a lot of reading of birth stories. I wanted to share the fantastic birthing experience that I had with others, however, for a lot of women they don’t get that experience. I think that for a lot of women, they never learn any type of mechanism to deal with their birthing time. They have no idea how to calm themselves, to feel confident in their bodies and their mind. After looking at different programs, I felt that Hypnobabies would be the way to most effectively help other women and their birth partners.

Why choose a natural, easier birth using Hynobabies? The benefits are many:

● Most of our moms use fewer drugs or no drugs, which means less risk of side effects for you and your baby, due to elimination of the Fear/Tension/Pain Syndrome, and using post-hypnotic suggestions.

● Most Hypno-mothers have shorter labors since there is less resistance of the birthing muscles when pain and fear are minimized or eliminated.

● Hypno-Moms generally have much more energy throughout first and second stage, due to your total relaxation throughout the birthing process.

● The birthing environment is much more calm and peaceful when you, the natural childbirth mother are comfortable, relaxed and confident.

● Breech and posterior babies can be turned using hypnosis.

● Blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature can be lowered and nausea, back and hip pain eliminated with hypnosis during pregnancy and labor.

● There are fewer interventions for failure to progress and therefore fewer complications during labor for our mothers and babies.

● The deep relaxation in Hypnobabies sessions has also helped many a nervous birth partner to enjoy their partner’s pregnancy and childbirth, and the skills that the Hypno-couple learns for relaxation and hypnosis will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

● As a Hypno-Mom, you are easily “deprogrammed” from the usual negativity of childbirth stories and scenarios you may have heard or read, by way of training in Hypnobabies classes and audio CDs which have positive messages and hypnotic suggestions. This automatically allows you to have a much more positive attitude and confidence in birthing. It is truly a gift that you are giving yourself, an amazingly easy way to enjoy your pregnancy more and actually look forward to your baby’s birth.

Hypnobabies sounds great! I’ll have to look around my local area (Australia) to see if there’s something similar.

=0) I just saw your responded to me. Thanks for the vote of confidence! The only problem now is coming up with something else to say that is just as useful. I think I already wrote the one great post in my life…. lol. I grew up in Naknek, in Bristol Bay, so the part of the country not connected by roads. I miss blueberries and fish wide open spaces!
